We offer 30 days returns and exchange policy for all items except for earrings, due to hygiene purposes.
This change of mind policy only applies in Australia and may not be available for other international markets. If you believe your items are faulty, you have additional rights under the Australian Consumer Law that are not limited to this policy.
To be eligible for a return for a refund or exchange, please ensure:
- The jewellery is in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused and in its complete original packaging.
- Email us a screenshot of email receipt, printed receipt or any proof of purchase. If you don't have this in hand, please send us an image of the broken jewellery.

Your unwanted jewellery will then be:
1. Replaced by an identical piece, if available in stock
2. Substituted with a piece of comparable value
3. Refunded in the form of store credit valid for one year
If your return is accepted, we’ll email you a return shipping label for standard Australian Post Parcel. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return / exchange will not be accepted.
DAMAGES & ISSUES
Within 30 days of receipt of your jewellery, please inspect your order and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Send us a photo of the damage / any defect issue / any wrong item sent to info@gaiafinejewels.com so we can send you a new one. This needs to be done within the first 30 days of purchase otherwise wear and tear will be accounted and your items won't be eligible for a return or exchange.
Your jewellery will then be:
1. Replaced by an identical piece for a defect or broken item / the correct one for wrong item sent, if available in stock
2. Substituted with a piece of comparable value
3. Refunded in the form of store credit valid for one year
Postage will be on Gaia Fine Jewels.
GOLD/ROSE GOLD VERMEIL TARNISHING IS NOT A DAMAGE
Tarnishing is a wear and tear that highly depends on contact with water (handwashing, shower, swim), perfume and if not placed in an airtight container every time you don't wear them.
EXCEPTIONS / NON RETURNABLE ITEMS
- Earrings: We cannot accept returns nor exchanges on earrings due to hygiene purposes.
- Last Chance Sales Items: No refund. No exchange. (This does not include full-priced items purchased using a promotional discount code)
- Freebies with purchase and sale items marked as 'last chance'.
EXCHANGES
If you choose to exchange an item, it is at customer's expense to safely send their returns to Gaia Fine Jewels.

- We will send you a return postage label
- You pack the jewellery in our reusable box, print the label and stick it on the box with your jewellery to be exchanged and drop it into any Australia Post Parcel Box.
- Once we receive the jewellery, we will send you a credit note (with $7.95 postage deducted) so you can select the piece that you want.
REFUNDS
Once your return is approved, you’ll be:
- automatically refunded on your original payment method if the reason of the return is quality / product defect and you don't want any other product for an exchange
Please allow refund to be initiated 2-3 working days after we receive the returned jewellery. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund back to your account.
OR
- sent a store credit to your email address with one year expiry if the reason of the return is change of mind.
SALE ITEMS
SALE items purchased at markdown price, can be returned for a store credit only. This does not include full-priced items purchased using a promotional discount code. SALE items purchased during these promotions will not be eligible for return or exchange, unless stated on the promotional terms and conditions.
SHIPPING ON RETURN / EXCHANGE
We do not offer free shipping if you choose to return or exchange an item due to change of mind. It is at the customer's expense to safely send their returns to Gaia Fine Jewels and their responsibility until confirmation of receipt by Gaia Fine Jewels.
Gaia Fine Jewels will not take responsibility for any damage caused during transit if the jewellery is not returned in original packaging. It is recommended that jewellery is returned using a tracking service. Gaia Fine Jewels is not responsible for any loss or damage to parcels returned.
IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT REPAIRS
Gaia Fine Jewels do not provide repair facilities or spare parts, or offer any repair. Gaia Fine Jewels will offer a replacement (if stock is available) or refund for genuine Gaia items exhibiting a manufacturing defect during the Warranty Period subject to certain conditions and exclusions.
You have other rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law. Gaia Fine Jewel’s Warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and does not exclude, limit or override your rights under that law.
INTERNATIONAL RETURNS
Items may be returned or exchanges within 30 days from the date of purchase. Returns must be received in our warehouse within 30 days from the date of purchase to be eligible for a refund.
Gaia Fine Jewels does not offer free shipping if you choose to return or exchange an item. If you wish to return an item, the jewellery must not be worn or used and must be in the original packaging, jewellery boxes must have all original packaging intact, no visible marks and scuffing and in new and sealable condition. We reserve the right to deny a return if the items returned appear used, worn, damaged or scratched.
We will not take responsibility for any damage caused during transit if the jewellery is not returned in original packaging. It is recommended that jewellery is returned using a tracking service. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to parcels returned.
Postage for returned / exchanged jewellery due to change of mind is at customers' expense. Postage for damage item is at Gaia Fine Jewels' expense.
